Important Notice
Registered users must be able to initiate account deletion directly in the App. Support email is a fallback when sign-in or the in-app entry point is unavailable or assistance is needed; it should not be the only normal deletion route.
This Statement explains the deletion entry point, process, subscription reminders, and post-deletion data handling.
1. Before You Delete
- After completion, the account, credentials, and device bindings usually cannot be restored;
- unused service entitlements may end, without affecting refund rights provided by law;
- deleting the account does not automatically cancel Apple App Store or Google Play auto-renewal;
- cancel the relevant store subscription first to prevent future renewal;
- transaction, security, or dispute records legally required for retention are not immediately removed but remain access- and purpose-restricted.
2. In-App Deletion Process
- Sign in to Dudu VPN;
- open Me or the profile area;
- open Account & Security;
- select Delete Account;
- review the effects and complete necessary identity verification;
- confirm the request.
After submission, account access is stopped or placed into deletion processing. Deletion or de-identification is generally completed within 30 days, or sooner where law requires.
3. Assistance When Access Is Unavailable
If you cannot sign in or the in-app entry point is unavailable, email [email protected]. Provide the minimum information needed to verify ownership, such as registration email, device type, and the issue. Do not send passwords or complete payment-card details.
Email is an assistance channel, not a replacement for the primary in-app entry. Additional verification may be required to prevent malicious deletion.
4. Data Handling After Deletion
- Deleted: profile data, credentials, device bindings, preferences, and directly removable service data;
- De-identified: necessary statistics are disconnected from the account and retained only in non-identifying aggregate form;
- Restricted retention: orders, tax, anti-fraud, security, refund, or dispute records are retained as legally required and deleted afterward;
- Backups: data may remain briefly in protected backups and be overwritten on the backup cycle, without ordinary business use.
5. Subscriptions and Refunds
Account deletion and app-store subscriptions are separate processes. Check Apple or Google subscription status before deletion. Platform purchases are refunded under platform rules. Deletion does not waive refund or consumer rights granted by law.
6. Withdrawal and Re-Registration
Before deletion completes, contact support to ask whether withdrawal remains possible. Once data is deleted or de-identified, it generally cannot be restored. You may register again, but historical data and benefits do not automatically return unless an app store lawfully restores a valid purchase.
